The Troubadours, a Hawkes Bay folk music phenomena during the early 60's are back after break of more than 30 years. Enjoying 5 years huge local popularity, the Troubadours based their image and sound on the fashionable "Ivy League"college campus groups of the era such as the Kingston Trio.

The three Hastings singers played several Blossom Concerts, balls and supported touring artist like Howard Morrison and Dinah Lee. They also had a television slot and made some recordings but nothing was released.

Original members Doug Farquhar, Trevor Ruffell and Dave Kitt are joined by Graham Avery and Connie Ballantyne as they recapture the excitement and spirit of 60's & 70's folk music.

The 90's lineup features Graham - Guitar Mouth Harp & Vocals, Connie- Vocals & Fiddle, Doug - Banjo, Guitar and Vocals, Dave - Upright Base, and Trevor - Autoharp & Vocals

"The music has never lost it's appeal" said Doug, "and in fact is finding new fans".
